PDI Activities & Achievements
- PDI were appointed following the public exhibition to help manage significant local opposition to the proposals
- Detailed and extensive engagement with Elmswell Parish Council, including presenting the proposals at a public meeting
- Engagement with adjacent parish of Wetherden
- Engagement with ward councillors and the portfolio holder for housing
- Work to combat dissemination of inaccurate information by the parish council in relation to traffic movements through the village
- Input into timetabling of the committee decision, taking into account other competing applications in the village
- Drafting of responses to objections raised by local residents
- Detailed pre committee liaison with officers and briefing provided to councillors, including development of a detailed fly through video to demonstrate how the proposals fit within the wider landscape
