- Research and stakeholder mapping
- Early engagement with immediate site neighbours to manage initial site maintenance communications
- Devising and preparing an engagement programme and related strategy for officers
- Comprehensive political and community stakeholder engagement including including a public exhibition with an accessible project website and online feedback mechanism
- Preparation of a Statement of Community Involvement including details of how the proposals had changed as result of stakeholder input
- Monitoring all local press and social media
- Ongoing post submission political engagement resulting in political support from the town council
