PDI Activities & Achievements

  • Helped secure unanimous outline consent for 260 hectares of greenbelt development in advance of Central Bedfordshire’s Local Plan
  • Secured the support of key political stakeholders including the local MP, parish and town councillors
  • Minimal local objections (less than 10), which was referred to by the SoS for not calling in the application
  • Delivery of ongoing consultation events including exhibitions, design workshops, stakeholder briefings, school and youth engagement during the detailed design stages
  • Ongoing community engagement to support the site wide area masterplans and area design codes
  • Effective press office function securing positive local media coverage
  • Positively promoting the client team within the community through participation in local events, local sponsorship and community briefings
  • 24/7 contact for all public enquiries including a dedicated Freephone number
  • Retained by the client team for over five years, with ongoing support continuing for further project phases
